Surf Magic bay,
Dec 12 - 18, 2023
A luxury Surf & Yoga retreat
Join us in Morocco, at the OSurf Club, for a jam packed week of pure fun in the glassy waters of Imsouane, known to be one of the best longboarding waves on the planet. This is for anyone seeking a side order of tailored tips to enrich your body to board connection and get you surfing with an air of grace and ease. Clare will spill the beans, to reveal and teach how she dances up and down the board, so you can too :)
Held in the breathtakingly gorgeous yet humble Imsouane, its hard to play down this experience. A home away from home that's equal parts luxurious and intimate. Daily yoga, meditation and breathwork, will help cultivate that awareness you want both on and off the board.
* please note this retreat is for women who are already comfortable and confident catching their own waves and have a level of independence in the water.
We are also partnering with women’s surf label Atmosea, giving you exclusive access to discounted swim, wetsuits and surf apparel, as well as connecting you to a worldwide community of women who surf.
The O surf
“Decades before the name of the "Magic Bay" appeared, when Imsouane was still a fishing village barely known to surfers, there was already a house built and designed to have the most panoramic view on the part of Imsouane most surrounded by water, the one that looks most like an island.
Tayourt was designed and built, with local materials, as much as possible in accordance with the landscape, in a spirit of biomimicry and bioclimatic, combining the authenticity of Morocco, the Spirit of Surfing and the comfort of a high standard accommodation.
For more than 20 years, the regulars of this unique house in Imsouane like to use a slogan, a little secret known only to purists, to name the view and the atmosphere of this place:
Our rooms are sun lit with private bathrooms are furnished and decorated in a minimalist and beldi chic way, they all have sea view and share a patio, exclusive to our guests. Furnitures are thoughtfully produced and handmade by Moroccan craftmen and women honouring old traditions and local materials.
Meals focus on clean, locally prepared ingredients that taste good without harming the environment or your health. Expect to be fed twice daily, at breakfast and dinner with an assortment of delicious meals to keep you energised and satisfied to surf and practice yoga all day long. Lunch will be up to your own choosing, whether that be a quick snack or a feast at another nearby restaurant, it’s up to you!
Your Teachers and Hosts
I have always been in love with the ocean, I owe it so much and surfing is my most favourite thing in the world.
At the moment I am living in Italy (there are waves here!) but have spent the past near decade in the waters of Byron Bay.
When we come together I will share over 20 years of surf knowledge and practice with you in both an interactive and intuitive way. I will hope to utilise my experience to help you unlock your potential and guide you in areas that you might be feeling unable to progress past.
Originally from New Zealand but now based in Berlin where I teach Yoga full time. Vinyasa classes that are fluid and dynamic with a teaching style that guides your awareness to the subtleties of the practice. A fine-tuned and detailed body awareness.
A mixed level flow that will give you a full body touch. All classes will be a ‘feel good‘ situation despite your experience on the mat. There will be options in these classes to spice things up if you're looking for a bit more oomf.
A sweet restorative yoga class where we look to nourish the nervous system, and enter into a place that feels like home in the borders of our own skin. Another ‘feel good‘ situation.
Plan on arriving at The OSurf Club on the 12th of December, we will confirm a time with you closer to the date. We will organize an airport shuttle* to pick you up and bring you to the accommodation.
Each day will be a combination of surfing (a lot of it), yoga/breathwork/meditation classes, workshops and free time to do as you wish.
Whether you want to literally surf all day and only attend some of the yoga classes (or vice versa), is totally up to you. Everything is optional: you can get into as much or as little as you would like, only keeping in mind that aspects such as water photography and filming will take place at set sessions, dependent on surf conditions.
